Suspect held in murder, vehicle theft

A man suspected of strangling a business associate, dumping his body in a Hebei suburb and stealing his Mercedes-Benz has been arrested by Chaoyang police, Beijing Times reported on Tuesday.

Li Baohua, a press officer with the Chaoyang police department, told METRO the case was active but declined to say more, pointing out that the municipal public security bureau had the authority to speak about murder cases.

A press officer with the bureau declined to comment.
