Ex-official falls as quickly as she rose
BEIJING - A bogus identity based on 30 fake government seals, a wealthy godfather and at least two corrupt officials came to a crashing halt when a former deputy chief was arrested for falsifying her credentials to climb the ranks of government.
Wang Yali, 40, former deputy chief of the Communist Youth League of China in Shijiazhuang, capital of North China's Hebei province, fabricated her identity and age to get government jobs, the Hebei provincial commission for discipline inspection said on Monday.
