Busy week ahead for Chinese diplomats
Beijing is expected to play host to some key foreign dignitaries, including British Foreign Secretary David Miliband and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, starting next week.
Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit China from March 17 to 21, Qin Gang, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Thursday.
One day before Hasina's arrival, Pitsuwan Surin, secretary-general of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, will be on a weeklong China tour, he said.
Yu Myung-hwan, the foreign affairs and trade minister of South Korea, will be in the country from March 17 to 19 to discuss important issues including the stalled Six-Party Talks to resolve the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, Qin said.
The Foreign Ministry had earlier said British Foreign Secretary David Miliband would be in the country from March 14 to 17.
