Residents want parking cameras

By Meng Jing | China Daily | Updated: 2010-03-10 08:00

Residents of a community in Beiyuan, Chaoyang district, are hoping their building management company will install surveillance cameras after a spate of incidents in which cars have been damaged when left overnight.

Some said concerns about a loss of privacy are eclipsed by the need to protect their vehicles.

The call for surveillance cameras in Beiyuan No 6 community came after one resident installed a camera privately to monitor his parking space.
