RBS considering joint venture

Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc said it is in talks with a Chinese company to form an investment banking joint venture. "We are exploring a securities JV which would further enhance our existing platform in China," said a bank spokeswoman.

BYD to enter Western Europe

BYD Co, the automaker backed by Warren Buffett, plans to start selling electric and hybrid cars in Western Europe next year as the first Chinese company to market alternative energy-powered vehicles in the region.

Giti may float shares in HK

China's largest tire maker Giti Tire plans to launch a $400-$500 million Hong Kong initial public share offering soon, Reuters reported on Monday.

Giti Tire plans to float the initial public offering in April, the report said.
