Hacker sentenced to one year in jail
A man who hacked into an education website and demanded 5,000 yuan in blackmail was sentenced to one year in prison at Haidian district court, Beijing Times reported on Sunday.
The man, Tang Lin, broke into the website on Feb 23, 2008. He then contacted the company that managed the site and offered to restore the website for 5,000 yuan.
