Student who killed self was singled out by teacher: Family

An 18-year-old high school student killed himself Thursday after being punished at school, the deceased's family claims.

Liu Song, a third-year high school student at Daxing District No 8 Middle School, jumped from his family's fifth-floor apartment in Daxing district about 8 pm Thursday, one month before his 19th birthday.

A teacher reportedly told Liu to stand in the hallway after he failed to turn in homework that morning.
