Tempers flare in dispute over public green land

Some residents at the luxury Linxi Villas, Changping district, are complaining that areas of the public green land at this high-end development are being occupied by unauthorized constructions that have a detrimental impact on residents' daily life and which are destroying the scenic beauty of the space.

One resident, Chai Dayong, contacted Changping district urban administrative bureau to report the situation. Staff from the bureau came to measure the size of the allegedly unauthorized construction yesterday morning.

The bureau chief surnamed Yin said they would evaluate the situation and take whatever action was appropriate.
