Ramirez to lead dodgers' taiwan trip

Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez headlines a 33-man squad that will visit Taiwan for a series of games later this month, the National League team announced on Tuesday.

Manager Joe Torre, first baseman James Loney and four players with ties to the area - Taiwan natives Kuo Hong-chih and Hu Chin-lung, South Korean Choi Hyang-nam and Japan native Robert Boothe - will join Ramirez on the trip, the Dodgers said on their website (http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com).

Los Angeles will play an All-Star team from the Chinese Professional Baseball League in a three-game series on March 12-14, using a split squad. Other members of the Dodgers will remain in Arizona to continue spring training.
