Family seeks damages over housemaid's rabies death

The family of a female migrant worker who died after being attacked by a dog while allegedly working as a housemaid in Beijing is asking the homeowner for more than 750,000 yuan in compensation.
Daxing district court will hold its second hearing on Monday.
The woman surnamed Li, 43, was from Zhuolu county in Hebei province. In September 2008, Li was introduced by a friend to work as a housemaid in Daxing district for a couple who own a restaurant chain in the city.
