Some office workers are reaching out for help in beating fingerprint-reading machines that many companies are installing to monitor attendance.
Online forums and twitters have been rife with complaints from the white-collar workers about the "inconvenience" of the new technology, which calls for them to have their fingerprints scanned each morning when they turn up for work and at night when they leave off.
In the old days, a worker who was running late might have asked a friend to punch the clock for him, the modern office environment calls for a more cunning approach.
