The making of a nation

The music and dance epic Road to Revive is being staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts. The show traces the nation's journey over the past 170 years, since the Opium War of 1840. Zhang Jigang, who acted as the deputy director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics, serves as chief director of the show. The strong cast includes influential singers and performers such as Peng Liyuan, Song Zuying, Yan Weiwen and Ding Jianhua.
