Tabloid accused of 'collective amnesia' over phone taps

A committee of British members of Parliament accused News of the World bosses yesterday of suffering "collective amnesia" over illegal hacking into the phones of royals and celebrities by its reporters.

The Culture, Media and Sport committee concluded that it was "inconceivable" that no one at the paper knew about the practice and said there had almost certainly been more victims than the tabloid had admitted.
