Booted for bribes

A high-ranking legislator in Liaoning province was sacked from his post and expelled from the Party for taking bribes, people.com.cn reported yesterday.

Song Yong, 55, former deputy director of the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, has been dismissed from the Communist Party of China and his post over serious violations of discipline and law, the report said.
