Cable gang exposed after pulling the plug on PLA

Army experts notice huge quantity of underground line missing during exercises

A gang that allegedly stole vast quantities of underground communications cable was unearthed after one of the lines they are suspected of stealing interrupted the work of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The suspects, who posed as electrical repair workers to take the cable, are being held in detention awaiting their first court appearance, which is set for next week.
