PetroChina acquisition
PetroChina Co said on Thursday it completed acquisition of oil sands assets from Canada's Athabasca Oil Sands Corp (AOSC).
PetroChina International Investment Company Ltd, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of PetroChina, will jointly develop the oil sands projects at MacKay River and Dover with AOSC pursuant to the terms of the acquisition agreement.
Sprite best seller
According to a latest survey from research firm Nielsen, Sprite, a Coca-Cola Company brand, is the best-selling sparkling beverage in China in modern and general trade, with a market share of 26.9 percent in December.
Coca-Cola reported its fourth-quarter results ealier this month, saying case volume in China grew 29 percent year-on-year, while Sprite grew more than 10 percent during the quarter.
Changan Auto share sale
Chongqing Changan Automobile Co, China's second-biggest minivan-maker, plans to raise as much as 4 billion yuan selling new shares to help fund expansion plans as economic growth spurs demand.
The sale will increase the company's number of shares by as much as 20 percent.
Bocom's fund raising
Bocom International, the investment banking unit of the Bank of Communications Co, plans to raise as much as $500 million in its first private-equity fund focusing on mainland and Hong Kong. The fund seeks to raise between $300 million and $500 million, and the first round of fund-raising was completed this month, the company said.
