12 missing as ships collide

At least 12 people were missing when two cargo ships collided on the Yangtze River near Zhangjiagang, a port of Suzhou, information portal china.com.cn reported yesterday.

Pengxiang No 9, a cargo ship carrying a crew of 19, bumped into a vessel at 7:50 pm on Monday and sunk soon with all of its sailors falling overboard. Only two of them were rescued, with the rest still missing, the report said.
