TCM doctor jailed for deaths of two patients

A doctor practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) will serve time in prison for his role in the deaths of two patients to whom he sold medicine containing high levels of arsenic.

The doctor was convicted of negligent homicide and sentenced to three years in prison with three years of probation at Miyun county court.

Xiang Ying, a press officer with the court, told METRO yesterday the 67-year-old doctor, surnamed Lou, had operated a TCM clinic in Miyun county for 23 years.
