Woman jailed for jilted stabbing

A woman surnamed Zhang has been sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted murder by Daxing district court after stabbing her boyfriend.

Beijing Times reported that Zhang's boyfriend surnamed Li had planned to marry Zhang but later changed his mind. A forensic examination confirmed that Zhang is schizophrenic and was affected by the disease at the time.
