Summit on its own track
Amid widening talk of a possible summit between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Seoul government said yesterday that holding a summit is not related to resuming multilateral talks over the DPRK's nuclear issues.
"As I understand it, an inter-Korean summit and resuming Six-Party Talks are not directly related," foreign ministry spokesman Kim Young-sun said, referring to the currently stalled nuclear negotiations.
