Joint military drills

Thailand, the United States and South Korea participated in a mock amphibious assault demonstration, as part of the 29th annual Cobra Gold military exercise yesterday in central Thailand's province of Chonburi. The drill, the highlight of the 11-day exercise, included some 6,000 troops, six warships and 35 planes.

This is the first year South Korea has participated in Cobra Gold.
