Absence of food safety supervision

As an old saying goes: "Once on shore, one prays no more". Recently, the re-emergence of a large amount of dairy products tainted with melamine, which should have been completely destroyed by now, forced the Ministry of Health to launch a nationwide campaign against the contaminated products. The re-infiltration of melamine shows that once food safety monitoring is weak, profiteers return to disrupt markets and endanger the lives of many.

After the catastrophe of the Sanlu milk powder scandal, China's dairy industry hasn't recovered fully and the problems of treatment and compensation for the victims are still under dispute. Adding to all this mess, the toxic milk powder has reached the market again.
