Divorce rate rises
China saw a sharp increase in the divorce rate in 2009, information portal fawan.com reported yesterday.
According to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs yesterday, more than 1.71 million couples who registered for divorce last year, a 10.3-percent increase from 2008.
