Support for PCT filings

By the end of last year, 29 filers of international Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications from Hubei province received a total of 1.38 million yuan from China's central government. The highest funding for an individual application was 290,000 yuan.

The central government fund, designed to encourage domestic applications for international patents, was jointly initiated by the State Intellectual Property Office and the Ministry of Finance.
