VP may get job back

Nepal's vice president may be reinstated after losing his job because he refused to take his oath of office in the official Nepali language, officials said Friday.

Lawmakers amended the laws in a vote late Thursday to allow Vice President Paramananda Jha to retake the oath in Hindi, commonly spoken in neighboring India, and resume his job, said Parliament Speaker Subash Nemwang.
