Tomb unearthed

The tomb of a high-ranking general of the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD) was unearthed in the suburbs of Xi'an, the provincial capital, archaeologists announced on Friday.

The tomb, located in Weiqu town, belongs to Zhang Anshi, a major general of the Han Dynasty, who was also conferred with the title of Liehou, the top level of entitled officials of the dynasty, after he helped Liu Xun (91 BC-49 BC) become the emperor, said Zhang Zhongli, vice president of the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology.
