Actress defends rights over racy photograph

An actress, who was outraged when her face was superimposed onto the half-naked body of another woman on the cover of a DVD she was featured in, was awarded 50,000 yuan in compensation at Yayuncun court yesterday.

The DVD's publisher and producer were also ordered to offer Guo Zhenni a full apology.

The court said the DVD's publisher, Jiuzhou Audio and Video Company, and the producer, Guangdong Taiyue Broadcasting Company, violated the portrait rights of Guo and said the companies should take full responsibility.
