Kitchen killer in court

A man surnamed Zhao who allegedly beat his wife to death with a kitchen cutting board appeared at Shunyi district court on Tuesday, the Beijing News reported.

In a quarrel on the evening of Aug 31, the wife was said to beat the husband with a large chopping block. The husband allegedly grabbed it and struck his wife's head twice. She lay on the bed with claims of a headache and then fell unconscious. She died in hospital.
