China's 'most responsible'
Chinese news website www.people.com.cn has announced the results of its "Responsibility China" selections for 2009, including the top 10 responsible citizens, on-line commentators, blogs, online talk-show guests, and government organizations, based on online comments.
Included in the top 10 responsible citizens are five legal scholars of Peking University who advocate a revision of China's urban housing demolition regulation, 81-year-old Hamit Ahmet who protected 18 people from attacks during the July 5 riots in Urumqi, and Huang Man, a paralyzed policewoman who offers psychological counseling.
