Staffers want back pay
Hundreds of staff and clients of DDS, a failed courier firm in South China's Guangdong province, yesterday gathered at the Guangzhou government and the labor and social security bureau of the city's Tianhe district to ask the government to help them get their money back.
Ding Yan, director of the general office of the Tianhe labor and social security bureau, said about 200 DDS staffers registered with the bureau yesterday morning to ask for their pay back. Ding said that DDS owes about 8 million yuan to its employees in Guangzhou.
