Nanjing driving regulated

Drivers in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, caught wearing overhigh shoes might be fined 50 yuan in the near future, according to a new proposed legislation to be reviewed by the Standing Committee of 11th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress.

The draft of Nanjing Road Traffic Safety Regulation has been delivered to the provincial legislative body for examination and ratification, and is expected to become effective on May 1. The new regulation rules that vehicle owners must not drive when wearing shoes with heels higher than 4 centimeters, being barefoot or smoking.
