TAG-Heuer, a renowned Swiss watchmaking brand established in 1860, has enjoyed a rollercoaster ride of memorable highs during its 150-year history. Through its continuous pursuit of innovative technology, it is now firmly established as a market leader in the luxury sports watches, chronographs and professional sports timekeeping sectors. It has also stayed true to its long-term commitment to producing avant-garde, high-tech timepieces.
The brand was founded by 20-year old Edouard Heuer following the setting up of a small workshop in St Imier in western Switzerland. This workshop is now a watchmaking legend and highly regarded across the world.
Reflecting on the company's history, Jean-Christophe Babin, the president and CEO of TAG-Heuer, said: "TAG-Heuer has revolutionized watchmaking for nearly 150 years. This is not a reason to self-congratulation, but rather an opportunity to pay tribute to the people who built the company.
