FM in the fast lane

By Ye Jun | China Daily | Updated: 2010-01-21 07:58

The majority of drivers in Beijing have likely tuned in to FM103.9 Beijing Communication Radio (BCR), while caught up in the traffic.

The radio was set up in conjunction with the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau in 1993, and it enables traffic police to provide quick and accurate information, which is important to Beijing's 4 million drivers.

Besides notifying drivers about traffic jams, radio anchors try to make the journey to and from work easier.
