Call service restored
International call service was restored yesterday in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region as authorities kept their promise to further lift communication restrictions.
The service was cut after the deadly July 5 riot in the regional capital of Urumqi, which killed 197 people and injured more than 1,700 others.
