Heavy fog causes chaos

Dense fog on the highway between Changzhi and Taiyuan in Shanxi province caused five traffic accidents and claimed the lives of nine people and led to another 35 being injured yesterday.

The five multiple vehicle collisions were caused by lingering heavy fog and happened on a section of the highway in Wuxiang county, leading to the deaths of six people at the scene.
