Baidu sues US company after attack

Baidu.com, China's leading search engine, has sued a US Internet firm after a cyber-attack paralyzed its site last week.

Baidu is seeking damages from its US domain name registration service provider Register.com, Inc, the Beijing-based company said in a statement.

The website was paralyzed for several hours after a cyber-attack on Jan 12, denied access to users.
