Convicted lawyer appeals

The attorney of a lawyer, who was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for instructing his client to fabricate evidence of police torture, has filed an appeal against the verdict, information portal fawan.com reported yesterday.

Gao Zicheng said he would plead not guilty on behalf of his client Li Zhuang, who was convicted of perjury and interfering with testimony, while defending an alleged gang boss recently.
