Nissan sales growth

Sales by Nissan Motor Co in China jumped by 39 percent year-on-year to 756,000 vehicles in 2009, making it the leading Japanese automaker in the world's top vehicle market. Its joint venture with Dongfeng Motor (Group) Co Ltd sold 518,968 Nissan-brand passenger cars last year, surging 48 percent. Sales of Teana, the Nissan brand's flagship model in China, rocketed by 86 percent to 108,504 units.
