Oil tanker hit

An oil tanker cracked north of the waters of Weifang Harbor, Shandong, 5.5 sea miles off the coast at 10 am Friday. The ship was hit by sea ice and two fissures appeared in the cabin. The tanker was loaded with 1,000 tons of fuel oil and had a crew of nine men. The crew members were reported safe and no oil leakage was found.

The tanker was originally headed for Weifang harbor from Daxie harbor in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.
