Cash robbery case solved
Taiwan police have cracked the biggest cash robbery of NTD 70 million ($2.1 million) in the island's history, the China News Service reported yesterday.
On Nov 23 last year, Baoxin watch store entrusted Cai Jintian, a gold dealer, to draw about NTD 77 million of cash from the bank. Afterwards, Cai was robbed of the massive amount of cash on his way back. After an investigation, police arrested four suspects, including Cai's sister, who denied assisting other suspects in robbing her brother. She said she had a feeling that Fang Donglong, one of the suspects, was the robber, who offered her NTD 45 million of bribes to seal her lips.
