Kidnappers want $2m

Yemen kidnappers holding a German family of five and one British hostage are demanding $2 million in ransom for their release, a German magazine reported.

Earlier this week, Yemeni Foreign Minister Abubakr al-Qirbi said the authorities had started negotiations with the hostage-takers, a day after his German counterpart, Guido Westerwelle, visited the country and met with the president.
