Park's 150th anniversary

French and British officials will be invited to attend the 150th anniversary of the old Summer Palace, or the Yuanmingyuan Park, to remember the date when it was ruined by their armies in 1860, the Beijing News reported.

Representatives from the two countries will join the guest list along with a host of celebrities to honor the protection of relics from the site. Organizer Aisin Gioro Baoxun said forums and exhibitions will also be held around the anniversary on Oct 18, 2010.
