False father gets cash from ex

A man surnamed Ye, who discovered the child he had raised for five years was not his own, has received almost 22,700 yuan in compensation from his ex-wife, Miyun district court said yesterday.

Ye's former wife surnamed Guan gave birth to a boy in 2001 and married Ye in 2004. When they went to register the permanent residence for their son in 2006, they were asked to take a DNA test. The child was reported to belong to Guan and another man. The couple divorced in 2008 and Ye sued his ex-wife for expenses incurred.
