Kidnapped sailors back

Twenty-five seamen on the Chinese bulk carrier De XIN HAI who had earlier been abducted by Somali pirates have returned to their hometown Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong province, safe and sound.

Miao Shengying, a senior officer with Qingdao Ocean Shipping Co Ltd, said they arrived in Qingdao by Flight SC4690 from Shenzhen on Jan 8. The men are lodged at the Qingdao first sanatorium of Jinan Military Command and are waiting to reunite with their families.
