Sewing the seeds of love among orphans

Frenchwoman Amelie introduces her adopted Chinese daughter to guests: "Her name is Dang Yiyi, and she is our Chinese gem,"

Dang, born in Taiyuan city in central China three years ago, was abandoned by her parents apparently because she had a harelip and cleft palate, a congenital defect.

Amelie and husband Gael, took Dang to Paris and adopted her in December 2008.
