Homeless youth attacks woman for prison life

A teenager who allegedly hit a woman with a brick so he could get into jail will be in Huairou district court next week charged with intentional homicide.

The 19-year-old suspect surnamed Zhang was alleged to have struck a female farmer to get into prison for free meals and accommodation.

Zhang, from a rural area in neighboring Hebei province, dropped out of junior high school after only two weeks of study.
