Man sells bejeweled fake pistols online, prompts concern

An imitation 64 pistol is being sold online and via mail order, despite strict laws which forbid the sale of fake weapons in China.

A man surnamed Sun, who works for a Changping district company that sells the weapons, said the imitation 64 pistol - apparently gold-plated and decorated with jewels - was very popular and sold for 1,980 yuan.

The company sent out text messages about sales of the imitation gun, which are not available in stores, on Monday.
