By Yang Wanli | China Daily | Updated: 2010-01-05 07:48

The emergency room in Jishuitan Hospital, Beijing's largest orthopedics hospital, was filled with patients yesterday due to the heavy snow.

"We had 70 patients with bone injuries as a result of the snow on Sunday morning. Most are middle aged and the elderly," said Zhang Yuqing, head nurse of the emergency room in Jishuitan Hospital.

She said the majority of patients had hurt their arms and legs, and four cases needed operations.
