Disabled tourists face more discrimination

By Wang Wen | China Daily | Updated: 2009-12-31 08:07

A disabled man's claims of discrimination he faced with a tourist group in Hong Kong are raising concerns about traveling for the disabled.

A paraplegic man surnamed Zhu said he was forced to stay in a hotel for the five-day trip with his wife and private nurse after the group's driver refused to let him get on the bus.

Zhu notified tour operator China Post and Telecom Tours about his condition before the Dec 11 trip.
