2 dead in commando raid
Navy commandos attacked a coastal stronghold of Al-Qaida-linked militants in the southern Philippines, drawing fire that left two navy men dead, officials said yesterday.
The attack was part of a massive military campaign to capture Islamic militants who escaped in a jail break on Basilan island Dec 13.
